The Army Air Forces War Adjustment Course was established in 1944 at several locations in the U.S., one of which was Harvard Business School. Homburg (1921-2011) served during World War II with the 785th Squadron, 466th Bomb Group. He grew up on a farm in Cottage Grove (Wisconsin) and earned his Bachelors and Masters Degrees in education from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He flew twenty-five missions during World War II, retired from the Air Force Reserves at the rank of major in 1981, settled in Madison (Wisconsin) with his wife, Jean, and raised four children.
